WSAVA's mission is to advance the health and welfare of companion animals worldwide through an educated, committed and collaborative global community of veterinary peers.
World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA) and Purina Institute: transforming companion animal medicine around the world.
The Purina Institute is proud to be the WSAVA’s first Diamond Partner, a relationship reflective of our shared goals. Founded in 1961, WSAVA is an association that represents more than 200,000 veterinarians and 112 member associations globally.
As the WSAVA’s first Diamond Partner, we support some key clinical committees and initiatives: Global Nutrition Committee (GNC), Animal Wellness and Welfare Committee (AWWC), Hereditary Disease Committee (HDC) and One Health Committee (OHC).
The Purina Institute is also a global partner for WSAVA One Care, a pioneering initiative to motivate veterinary associations in countries where companion animal practice is still emerging to raise the standards of care.
As part of our productive collaboration, we are able to provide a number of resources for you to use in your everyday conversations with pet owners. For more information on WSAVA, click the link to the right.
