Renal aging refers to physical and functional changes that occur in the kidney with age, including cellular senescence and histopathologic changes. Senescence results in a loss of healthy regeneration and repair after injury and has implications for aging and disease. This session discusses the concepts of aging and cell senescence in feline chronic kidney disease and their clinical implications.
